# Withdrawal delayed

> Where a withdrawal can be held up, and how to tell whether it is us, you, or the network.

First, find its state in [Transaction history](/traders/account/history). The state tells you where it is.

| State | Where it is |
| - | - |
| Pending | With us. Not yet sent to the network |
| Sending | Broadcast to the network. Waiting on confirmations |
| Confirmed | Done. It has left |
| Rejected | Not sent. See below |
| Cancelled | Cancelled before broadcast |

## If it is Confirmed

It has left us and is on the blockchain. Take the transaction reference to a block explorer for that network.

If the explorer shows it confirmed and the funds are not in your destination wallet, the problem is at the destination. Exchanges in particular can hold an incoming transfer for their own checks, and some require a memo. Ask them, with the hash.

## If it is Sending

It is on the network and confirming. Congested networks take longer. Nothing on our side changes the speed.

## If it is Pending

It has not gone out yet. Common reasons:

* **An outstanding confirmation step.** Check your email for a confirmation link. MagicMarkets does not process the withdrawal until you confirm it.
* **Identity verification outstanding.** See [Identity verification](/traders/account/verification).
* **A routine check.** Some withdrawals are reviewed before release.

If it has been pending well beyond what you would expect, contact support.

## If it is Rejected

The withdrawal was not made. Your funds are still in your balance. [Why a withdrawal gets blocked](/traders/account/withdrawals#why-a-withdrawal-gets-blocked) lists each cause and what to do about it.

## The most common surprise

Your balance looks big enough but the withdrawal fails for insufficient funds. Open stakes, including closed positions that have not settled yet, cannot be withdrawn. Only the amount available to withdraw can leave. Check that figure on the withdrawal screen first.

## Cancelling

A pending withdrawal can be cancelled. Once it is sending, it cannot be recalled by anyone.

* The withdrawal reference from your history.
* The state you see.
* The destination address and the network.
* The amount and when you requested it.
